There are no prerequisites!  For anyone who wants to practice poetic writing and also for  music students, songwriters, poets, lovers of letters,  composers, writers, independent artists  who want to enhance their creations.

This workshop was conceived from studies on creativity, from experiences as a poet, composer and musician in several authorial artistic projects, from the experience as curator and artistic director of the Caminhos Poéticos da Canção project (CCBB RJ and Brasília - 2009) in which they were concerts and round tables were held about the relationship between poetry, song lyrics and music with artists such as Zé Miguel Wisnik, Luiz Tatit, Fernando Brant, Arnaldo Antunes, Chico César, Luiz  Melody, among others; of his work as a composer, arranger and music producer at the audio production company Argila Produções Musicais and as a professor of the subjects "Composition Laboratory" and "Production and Diffusion: from concept to performance" in postgraduate courses at Faculdade Santa Marcelina (SP). Rodrigo has 1 book of poems (Solo para um Homem Só, Ed Patuá, 2016)  published and 5 authorial albums released, 2 with the quintet Mandu Sarará (Mandu Sarará I and Varal), 1 with the group O Grito (Urbe Incandecida), 2 solos (Lágrimas de Chorar Estrelas and Solo para Um Homem Só) and 1 in partnership with several artists (In_Ventos Poéticos).

Workshop Content

5 meetings starting June 8, 2020 (1st class free)

- Techniques for poetic writing;

-  Specific exercises for creating poems and song lyrics based on concepts related to creativity;

- Analysis of lyrics  song and poems;

-  The song's lyrics - structure, prosody, meter, relationships with rhythm, melody and harmony;

- The poem - structure, rhyme, popular and non-popular forms;

- Figures of speech.
